Lily

Owner

Lily has been an animal lover and advocate her entire life. She was born and raised in Colombia where she graduated from Veterinary school in 2003. She worked for Novartis pharmaceutical veterinary products for 5 years and moved to Omaha in 2008 . Lily received a degree in nursing in 2012 and has worked in the field since then. Lily has been a volunteer for a local rescue since 2015. She helps with intakes, meet and greets/dog intros, events, counseling and most recently with training dogs that have behavioral issues. Lily lives at Canine Field of Dreams' property with her husband, her dog Kiwi, her cats Socks and Mittens, her chickens and her foster pups Murphy and Sigh.

Becky

Boarding Lead

As a retired horse trainer for over 30 years, Becky is an expert in animal behavior. The similarities between horse and dog training allow Becky to bring a unique and science-based perspective to the team. Becky is also extensively versed in training Border Collies in obedience, disc work and tricks. She uses her combination of positivity and play motivation to create a welcoming experience for the dogs in her care.

Becky is an avid reader and enjoys training her three dogs Hap, Pan and Haven. She has two cats, Cleo and Tuna. She describes her three human kids as the best thing in her life.

Fun fact! Becky's dog Haven was being fostered by Lily, after a few months, Becky adopted her. Haven loves Canine Field of Dreams and visits often to play with other pups.

Abbie

Camp Lead

Abbie is extremely intuitive with dogs. Her natural instincts with the dogs at Camp quickly promoted her to our Camp Lead. Her calm confidence helps the dogs at Camp thrive. Abbie is on track for a long, successful career in the canine industry and loves all animals - she has a cat, two birds, and a chameleon in her pack.

Abbie excels at trick training. She enjoys watching YouTube to find new, inventive tricks to teach her dogs - a German Shepherd named Luna and a Boxer/Bull dog mix named Bosely. Her dog Luna enjoys visiting Canine Field of Dreams.

In her spare time, she enjoys indoor plants, antique/vintage thrifting, buying crazy socks, and recently she has gotten into puzzles!

Dre joins the team after working for 5 years at a local animal shelter. After spending 13+ years in the corporate world doing sales and business development, Dre found her calling after volunteering with a local rescue Pug Partners of Nebraska. She's been working with animals since.

She has an MBA from Bellevue University and applies her business experience to the canine industry. Dre is a self professed book-worm, loves coffee and enjoys spending time with family. She has two rescue pugs and a rescue ragdoll cat. Dre also volunteers as webmaster for Good Life Bull Dog Rescue.

Dre McDermott
Operations Manager

Izzy is knowledgeable and passionate about animals. Izzy grew up around livestock and immersed in all aspects of animals in 4H. She has volunteered regularly during Hookstock at the Zoo. During the floods of 2019, Izzy assisted in the medical care of the largest herd of rare San Clemente goats. She is a calm and compassionate counselor for the dogs in our care. She excels with supervising our dog playgroups.

Izzy has quite the menagerie at home: her dog Tuna, her pig Coco, her bunny Peter and her horse Rocco. She is quite talented with horses - she has been riding horses for 20 years and it's still her favorite past-time. She successfully competes in Horse Shows and Jumpers.

Izzy has begun college courses and has an interest in furthering her education.
Izzy also enjoys painting and drawing. Invite her to your next dinner party, she is a skillful cook!

Izzy
Camp Counselor

This trio has the most important job. Socks and Mittens love greeting campers and their pawrents, however, sometimes they don’t realize that not every camper wants to be their best friend.
Kiwi does all the behind the scenes work. When the campers leave for the day and the boarding campers are getting their dinner, Kiwi inspects the playyards to ensure everything has been cleaned and ready for the next day
