Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes Canine Field of Dreams different?

We’re not a traditional indoor-only facility. Our dogs enjoy 10 beautiful acres of natural, outdoor space, with plenty of room to run, play, and explore. We keep group sizes small so every pup gets personal attention, enrichment, and care—just like family.

2. How big are the playgroups?

We believe smaller groups make for safer, happier play. Dogs are grouped by size, temperament, and play style, with a low dog-to-staff ratio to ensure safety and individual attention.

3. What activities do the dogs enjoy during the day?

Lots! From romping in our open fields and trails, to agility equipment, group training sessions, swimming pools (in season), scent games, and cuddle time—every dog gets a balance of play, exercise, and rest.

4. Do you offer indoor space as well?

Yes! While most of our focus is on outdoor enrichment, we also have indoor turf and comfortable rest areas for downtime, weather changes, or nap breaks.

5. What vaccinations are required?

For everyone’s safety, we require proof of current Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella vaccinations. Lepto vaccine and Flea/tick prevention are also strongly encouraged.

6. Do you accept puppies?

Yes! Puppies are welcome once they’ve completed their age-appropriate vaccinations. We’ll make sure they’re placed with suitable playmates and get plenty of rest between play sessions.

7. How do you handle dog introductions?

New pups go through a gentle evaluation process to make sure they’re comfortable and fit well with our environment. Safety and stress-free play are always our priorities.

8. What do I need to bring for my dog?

A leash, any special items like a favorite toy, blanket, or bed, enough food and medications they might need during their time with us.

9. Do you accept unfixed dogs?

Yes, we happily accept unfixed dogs as long as they don't display behaviors that may disrupt or interfere with their play group. With small, closely supervised play groups, every pup can enjoy camp safely.

10. Will my dog play all day?

Not quite—and that’s by design. Just like at home, dogs don’t play nonstop all day, and it wouldn’t be healthy for them to do so here either. Dogs thrive with a balance of activity, enrichment, and rest. At Canine Field of Dreams, campers rotate through 1.5-hour small group play sessions throughout the day. Because we’re outdoors, they benefit from natural enrichment like new scents, sights, and open space exploration. Between play, we add short group training sessions to keep minds active. To prevent overstimulation, dogs enjoy rest periods in quiet areas separate from their play spaces—complete with calming music—to help them relax, recharge, and return to play happy and balanced. And just like at home, you can feel good knowing your pup is cared for with the same love and attention they’d get from family.

11. How do I get started?

Easy! New clients can fill out our online form and schedule a trial day. We’ll get to know your dog, show you around, and help them feel right at home at Canine Field of Dreams.
