Welcome to Canine Field of Dreams

We are excited to meet you and your pup(s)! At Canine Field of Dreams, each client we meet is special to us and we are honored that you chose to trust the care of your pups with us. The first step to joining Canine Field of Dreams is to schedule a tour and trial day visit.

Our Policies

​

To ensure our clients have the very best time at camp and/or boarding, we have a few criteria that all dog(s) must meet to be able to join us. Unfortunately, if your dog does not meet the criteria, we will not be able to take your dog as a client to Canine Field of Dreams.

      Dogs must pass a trial day

  • Dogs must be kennel trained (calm and relaxed, no excessive barking or anxious)

  • Dogs must be up to date with their vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Bordetella)

  • No aggression or reactive towards other dogs or humans

  • No separation anxiety or overstimulated

  • No resource or food guarding

  • Dogs that have not attended camp for 6 months or longer must be re-evaluated and pass trial to be accepted. Puppies up to 18 months old will be re-evaluated after 3 months.

  • We do not accept new boarding clients for senior dogs if they are older than 12 for small dogs (30 lbs. or less) or older than 10 for large dogs (over 30 lbs.).

Drop-off and Pick-up Policies

Drop-off for Friendship Camp and Daycare is 7am-8:30am and pick-up is between 4pm-5:30pm. A $10 fee/dog will be applied for late pick-up (after 5:30pm)

Drop-off/pick-up for boarding is between 8am-11am and 1:30pm-5:30pm. We ask you to refer to your reservation to confirm your exact time. A $10 fee/dog will be applied for late pick-up (after 5:30pm)

Cancellation and late Payment Policy

  • A credit card on file required in order to complete the booking for your reservation

  • We require 48 hours notice (72 hour notice for Holidays) for boarding cancellations. Cancellation notices less than 48 hours (72 hours for Holidays) will be required to pay for 1 night of boarding. Repeated cancellations may be refused for future reservations. 

  • $10 late payment fee after 5 days for outstanding balance and every 5 days thereafter 

The Trial​ Visit

  • All dogs must pass a trial day before being accepted for Boarding and/or Day Camp (Day Care).

  • A 20 minute tour may be set up prior to your trial day.

  • Trial day cost $49.50 first dog, $44.50 second dog (taxes and fees not included).

  • Tours are available at drop off or pick up on your trial day if wanted. Please be aware that while we have client dogs in our boarding building, we do not tour the kennel area to make sure client dogs stay comfortable. A virtual tour is available on our facilities page.

  • A trial is very important to make sure that your pup feels safe, comfortable and happy with us. We do not accept any anxious or excessive barkers as that would disrupt the peaceful atmosphere that we offer to our guests.

  • During the trial we spend one on one time with the Camp Counselors, introduce them to other pup(s), and take naps throughout the day.

  • We send daily updates with pictures of your dog's day. We keep you updated throughout the day of the progress and at the end of the trial we let you know if your pup has been accepted.

If you are ready to schedule a trial, please follow the steps below:

FIRST: Set up a new client account:

  1. Complete your dog's questionnaire.

  2. Sign the policy acknowledgement agreement.

  3. Update your dog's vaccination records to your newly created online account. You may also have your veterinarian email us vaccination records at caninefieldofdreams@gmail.com - We require Rabies, Bordetella and DAPP (distemper or a distemper-parvo combo) vaccinations to be updated prior to your trial date.  

  4. Request your trial date directly online, you will find the trial day option under "daycare" on your new online account. If a trial date is not available, please send us a message and we may be able to accommodate.  If you need boarding and already have solidified dates, please include the dates to make sure we have availability.

  5. Save a credit card to your account.

Once we have received notification of your booking request and your account set-up is complete, we will contact you to proceed. If you would like a 20-minute tour prior to your trial date, please let us know.

Holiday rates apply on these days

No pick up/drop off on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve after 11am

Limited drop off and pick up times on other days

  • Memorial Day -  Friday May 24th, Saturday May 25th, Sunday May 26th, Monday, May 27th 

  • Independence Day - Thursday July 4th, Friday July 5th, Saturday, July 6th, Sunday July 7th

  • Labor Day - Friday August 31, Saturday September 1st, Monday September 2nd

  • Thanksgiving - Thursday November 28, Friday November 29, Saturday November 30, Sunday December 1st

  • Christmas - Tuesday December 24th and Wednesday December 25th

  • New Year - Tuesday, December 31st and Wednesday January 1st
